Screening: “Earth Report, State of the Planet 2009″

“Fate of Our Earth” documentary series is a collaboration between The Wadi Environmental Science Centre and Prince Alwaleed American Studies Centre – AUC, to raise awareness about BIG global issues that affect us, to start analyzing and discussing ways by which we can understand and maybe solve these issues.

The documentary Series is a lead up to the World Environment Day 2010 Celebration in Egypt that will take place on the 5th June 2010 at Al Azhar Park.

Earth Report, State of the Planet 2009                                                                                           Earth Report explores the impact of development on the environment and what’s been done to protect our planet against such. Case studies that were investigated at depth; the Northwest Passage which was opened for the first time in history, China’s emissions jump bypassing the USA and many more.                                                                                                 However, the film also explores the glimmers of hope many countries, businesses and individuals are making to further improve the environmental policies and practises out there. In Earth Report, the National Geographic takes the pulse of our planet and explores the state of our planet.
