Screening “Solar Energy: Saved by the Sun”

“Fate of Our Earth” documentary series is a collaboration between The Wadi Environmental Science Centre and Prince Alwaleed American Studies Centre – AUC, to raise awareness about BIG global issues that affect us, to start analyzing and discussing ways by which we can understand and maybe solve these issues.

The documentary Series is a lead up to the World Environment Day 2010 Celebration in Egypt that will take place on the 5th June 2010 at Al Azhar Park.

Solar Energy: Saved by the Sun In the face of global warming and other potentially harmful climate changes, there’s new urgency about finding a solution to our uncertain energy future. Breakthroughs in new materials and ingenious designs for solar collectors are transforming the technology into a vastly cheaper, more efficient alternative. NOVA presents the latest thinking from solar enthusiasts and skeptics as it investigates these cutting-edge research developments.

  2. Hi there, ive recently just been shocked at my electricity bills lately, paying way too much, im sure we can all agree? I think solar energy is the way to go, easy to set up and pretty self explanatory, and where i live, i can actually sell the power generated back to the grid, Pretty sweet. The post is really nice mate, giving me that extra push to go out plug my appliances in the sun from now on. Cheerio!

  3. This is a good step to save paper. And will save the rain forests in Indonesia. Moreover, this will reduce the burden on the back of elementary school students. Of course this will make the traditional printing companies and governments in the third world into a panic because of their unpreparedness of information technology. . .
